Cool Tech Challenge
To spark an interest in HS students in tech disciplines, NEOSA created the CoolTech Challenge in 2008. Our inaugural effor was a website design contest.
The 2009 Challenge was once again a website design contest for area high school students, with the added wrinkle of judging sites on mobile devices for bonus points.
CoolTech Challenge winners and finalists shared in thousands of dollars in scholarship money, gift cards for cool gadgets, Chipotle burritos and an awesome NEOSA t-shirt! In total, NEOSA awarded more than $7000 in cash and prizes with the 2009 Challenge!
Almost 70 teams registered this year with close to 50 teams submitting sites to be reviewed by our judges. The 2009 judging group consisted of internet and IT professionals from American Greetings Itneractive,
Aztek, Briteskies, iNomadics, Invacare, Rosetta Marketing Group,
and the University of Akron.
